Since 2005
Filed Under General | Leave a Comment
Hi everybody
My last entry was on october 2005, it has been a long time, wow it’s almost 2 years without a post. I have started my own ecommerce business on september 2005 and have been working 24/7 since then.
It’s time for me to consentrate back to my blogs, and share my experiences with others.
I will be updating Daily SEO regularly and share my experiences about SEO, SEM, Online Marketing, and all aspects of running an ecommerce business.
Meanwhile, please enjoy the older posts if you haven’t already done so, since there are still some very valuable information there.
I know 2 years is a lot of time, and SEO has changed a lot. But I have kept up with the current updates, technologies, and practiced them with my sites. So, I have some good posts waiting to be written for my readers.
Thank you to all of my loyal readers who have emailed and commented when I was away.
Hope to see you here more often (please remember to add Daily Seo to your bookmark)

Uncoverthenet Directory Has PR 0
Filed Under Google | Leave a Comment
After the last Google PR Update, Uncoverthenet.com home page has PR 0 . They have been experiencing a penalty. Their directory homepage has PR 5, and sub pages still have PR.

After the PR penalty to some large directories, many thought Google hated directories, and all directories would be history. But last month site-sift.com ’s penalty was lifted, and site-sift has moved back to PR 8 from PR 0.
Here’s an interesting reading from Uncoverthenet blog.
I have a few sites listed by Uncoverthenet, and I really like the site. I know Shawn and the team have spent some serious time creating and maintaining Uncoverthenet, and I wish them good luck with getting back the PR they deserve.
Discussion about the topic at DP Forum.

Google PR Update October 19
Filed Under SEO | Leave a Comment
Google Toolbar PR is being updated today. I was reading Digital Point Forums and found out about this update at this thread.
Daily SEO has moved from PR 5 to PR 4 due to the summer vacation I have taken, and not working on the site.
I have new projects for our site, and it will be updated more often.
Even though toolbar PR’s value is open to discussion, I hope your sites have gained the PR you have well deserved.

Content is Investment for SEO
Filed Under SEO | Leave a Comment
Content plays a large role in keeping visitors on a web site. Search engines and their spiders just love quality, and regularly updated content. After you have written an article or a blog entry, focus on link building for that content. Having backlinks to your homepage is of course important. But having links to your articles, and blog entries will only help you more.
Also remember to use your keywords in your content when you are writing. Do not write for SEO, but do not forget the importance of keyword density. Also try to integrat links into your content to your other articles, sites, and blog entries. Remember using optimized anchor text when linking.
There are thousands of free article sites out there. Prevent to copy paste those articles into your content. Your site may easily get caught by duplicate content filters. Try to write your unique content. But always remember to give links to the references.
If you are using images in your article, remember to optimize your images for search engines. Sometimes you can even get some good traffic from image search engines such as Google Image Search.

Link Building Campaign is a major SEO practice. You have planned your new website, worked on it for days or weeks, and it is ready to be launched. But you need to bring visitors to your site, and if no other site on the net is linking to you, your job is going to be difficult.
So your first step should be starting your link building campaign.
What is a Link Building Campaign ?
A link building campaign is gaining backlinks from other websites in order to increase your website’s link popularity, rankings, and standings in SERP’s.
If you have a quality site, along with fresh content, many websites will link your site along the time. But meanwhile you have to start gaining links.
Right practice to use during your link building campaign
WRONG : Acquire a large number of links in a short amount of time.
RIGHT : Acquire backlinks at a steady pace.
If you have a brand new site, and if you start acquiring thousands of backlinks in a short period of time, your site may get in trouble with search engine filters. This practice will not look natural to search engines, and your site will not fully benefit from the backlinks you have acquired.
Quality or Quantity of Backlinks ?
Many site owners only target gaining links from high Google PR websites when they start their link building campaigns. It is a wrong practice. Read more
